Scott has been married to Lana (Leadership Development Pastor) for 26 years. Scott and Lana serve alongside each other in many areas of ministry, including leading outreach teams to South America. They enjoy sharing their lives together and are excited to see what the future holds for Forest Park and for their family. Scott and Lana’s dream is to lead a church where broken people, regardless of their present condition or spiritual journey, experience God’s love and grace and are inspired to passionately follow Jesus. Scott became Lead Pastor of Forest Park in November, 2001. He enjoys books, friends, family, cooking and strong coffee. He is a graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Together, Scott and Lana love and parent three incredible children, Evan, Ashlyn and Camryn.
Dale joined the staff team at Forest Park in March 2015. Before joining the staff, Dale served as a volunteer at FPC for seven years in various roles, including leading worship. Prior to his employment at FPC, he was employed by the NC State Employees’ Credit Union for the prior eighteen years, serving the last twelve of those years as Vice-President/City Executive. Dale married his beautiful wife Amber, who is also on staff at Forest Park, in May 2001 and they have served together on worship teams and in bands since that time. They have two amazing sons, Barrett and Chandler. Dale is passionate about seeing people connect to Jesus at Forest Park and watching Him change their lives. Dale graduated from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Ministries.
Lana brings more than 20 years experience in leadership development, children’s ministry and global outreach to Forest Park. Lana is skilled to reach and empower people at various stages of life and inspire them to be all God created and designed them to be. She helps people realize their full potential through training and practical messages. Lana develops and leads teams in both church and business environments. Lana also leads outreach teams to schools in Ecuador each summer. Over the last 15 years, Lana has spoken to and impacted 100,000 kids in Guayaquil, Milagro, El Triunfo and Machala, Ecuador. Lana and Scott (Lead Pastor) have been married for 26 years and have three children, Evan, Ashlyn, and Camryn.
Amber’s role is to provide creativity and style to Forest Park, during the weekend services and online. Amber has a passion for the Arts and is talented in many aspects, including music, drama, design, fashion, and social media. She has been singing in churches since she was eight years old and has served on Praise and Worship teams since she was a teenager. She is passionate about seeing people recognize the love and grace that is offered through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her other passions include her family, music, Ecuador missions, friends, and shoes. Amber married the love of her life, Dale Jones, in May 2001. They both share the love of music and have ministered together through singing since they met. They both serve as Worship leaders in the FPC Worship Band. Her heart also belongs to two other guys – her sons Barrett, born in 2004, and Chandler, born in 2007. Amber earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and was employed by the Elizabeth City Pasquotank Schools from 1999-2004. In 2004, she became a stay-at-home mom. Amber’s favorite passage of scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17 “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Shane has been attending Forest Park since 2011 and serving since 2012 after his first trip to Ecuador with our global outreach team. Shane has played many different roles while serving here at Forest Park, some including first impressions, media, and creative elements with our worship team. Outside of serving at Forest Park, Shane works as the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the Albemarle Family YMCA here in Elizabeth City. He passionately serves the next generation every single day and believes that in order to change the future, we must be able to disrupt the present. Shane’s passion is fueled by his desire to create environments where these students feel loved, understood, and accepted during one of the most challenging ages in life. He has been married for 3 years to his beautiful wife Sydney Paris, who is currently serving as our church’s photographer. They love watching football, going to the beach, and doing life with their 2 year old son Tatum.
Jan joined the Forest Park staff in October 2012 as the Administrative Assistant. Jan provides support to the pastoral staff by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects. Her previous experience in coordinating training seminars and events, as well as leading various ministry teams, helps give her an understanding and inside perspective of what’s involved in the day-to-day operations of church ministry. In addition to providing administrative support at Forest Park Church, Jan helps lead worship on Sunday mornings. Her passion for helping others engage and connect with God through music is contagious. She has been singing in church since she was thirteen years old, and studied Music in college. She also loves the study of God’s Word and seeing it come alive to herself and to others. Jan, and her husband Brent, have been married for 28 years. They have four awesome children, ages 24 – 10. Chelsea, Sydney, Brynn and Heath continually delight and bring joy to their lives.
At Forest Park, Davin provides prayer, care and counsel to people during some of life’s greatest joys such as the birth of a baby, the dedication or adoption of a child and during some of life’s greatest difficulties such as an accident, illness or death. Davin also conducts funerals and guides families through the process of grief following tragedy. Davin also serves as a Hospice Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinator in Elizabeth City, NC. In 1982 Davin accepted the call into ministry. He graduated from Lee University in 1988 with a B.S. in Biblical Studies and he also earned a Certification of Chaplaincy at the Church of God School of Theology in 1997. For over 25 years Davin pastored churches in Mississippi, Illinois, and North Carolina. His passions in life are preaching, spiritual care and being a family man. Davin enjoys loving his wife, Robyn, and their children; Lex, his wife, Macey, their son, Ace, Lauren, Lorelle, Levi, Landon.
Lisa joined Forest Park in 1982 and has served in various ministries over the years. Lisa brings more than thirty years experience in Finance and Human Resources to Forest Park. During her profession, she gained valuable skills and experience, which she applies to the business administration. Lisa is passionate about financial integrity and staff team excellence. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Lisa also has a passion for global outreach and serves alongside Scott and Lana in leading outreach teams to Ecuador, South America. Her life is forever changed because of the missionaries and individuals she encountered throughout the last 15 years of outreach trips. Lisa has been married to her husband, Randy, for 33 years and they have an awesome son, Jeremy and daughter-in-law, Whitney.
Jason began to attend Forest Park in September 2001. Shortly after his initial visit he met Scott and Lana who introduced him to Jesus. Nothing has been the same for Jason since! He has served faithfully over the years in many different capacities. He now serves as the Groups Director – helping people, who call Forest Park home, get connected to a small group of people for the purpose of experiencing authentic community. Jason brings more than 20 years of successful sales experience and public relations skills to his role as Groups Director. He married his beautiful wife Lori, who leads Forest Park’s special needs ministry, in June of 2003. Their greatest honor is being the parents of their only child, Josiah, born in 2011.
Allison joined Forest Park four years ago and began her passion for teaching children about Jesus in the nursery. She went on to become the Preschool Coordinator for over 2 years, which was her true calling. Allison retired from the Coast Guard after serving 31 wonderful years as a Personnel Warrant Officer. Allison has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Allison has always had a passion for helping others. She is a veterans advocate, retired Paramedic and works closely with the Special Olympics. Allison is married to Tracy Stevens and they have one beautiful daughter, Lauren.
