Our mission is to help people follow Jesus one step at a time. The best way to truly understand a community is to experience it firsthand. While statements of faith can outline what we believe, they don’t fully capture who we are. With that said, if you’re looking for the details of our beliefs, you can find them below!

Statement of Faith

What we believe has been handed down to us from Christians who lived long ago. We believe what the Church has believed from the beginning. The simplest summation of these beliefs can be found in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day, He rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.

For us and for our salvation,
He came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit,
He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.

For our sake, He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered death and was buried.

On the third day, He rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed have been central to the Christian faith for centuries. They summarize the core beliefs passed down through generations, uniting believers across different traditions and denominations.

These statements of faith affirm essential Christian doctrines—God as Creator, Jesus as Lord and Savior, the work of the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sins, and the hope of eternal life. They serve as a foundation for our faith, guiding us in truth and reminding us of the unchanging gospel.

At our church, we embrace these creeds not just as historical documents but as living testimonies of our faith in Christ. They remind us that we are part of something greater than ourselves—a global and historical body of believers who have confessed these truths throughout history.

If you have any questions or would like to explore these beliefs further, we’d love to connect with you!

Our Essentials: What We Believe

At our church, we are guided by core biblical truths that have shaped Christianity for generations. While we hold firmly to essential beliefs, we also extend grace in areas where faithful believers may differ, always prioritizing love in all things. Below, you’ll find a summary of what we believe about God, Jesus, salvation, the church, and the Christian life.

Our Beliefs

  • In essential beliefs – we have unity. (Ephesians 4:4-6)

  • In non-essential beliefs – we have liberty. (Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22)

  • In all our beliefs – we show charity. (1 Corinthians 13:2)

Our Statements

Human authors, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. We devote ourselves, therefore, to reading, studying, learning, and applying the truths of Scripture to our lives, as well as to the function and operation of the church. We believe the Bible is the greatest source of truth for Christian beliefs and living in written or spoken form.

We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed as the perfect love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons are co-equal and are one God.

Jesus is fully God and fully man. He came to earth, was conceived in the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He died and rose again to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin. He will return someday and consummate the building of his Kingdom. He is the ultimate and final source of Truth for all people.

We believe all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with God but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

We believe salvation is God’s gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith.

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Scriptures and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to others.

Baptism and Communion are two ordinances Jesus Christ gave the Church. The only form of baptism we practice is believer’s baptism by immersion.

Our Values: What Is Important

We believe every person deserves to be accepted, loved, and included. We thrive best in authentic community, and everyone should have the opportunity and resources to become healthy and whole.

Our Core Values

Everyone INCLUDED – Regardless of past decisions, present conditions, or spiritual journeys, every person is accepted, loved, and included.

Everyone CONNECTED – Since people are designed for and function best when experiencing authentic community, we will not be satisfied until every member is engaged.

Everyone WHOLE – We are not healthy until everyone is healthy. Therefore, we will pursue truth until everyone is complete in mind, heart, and soul.
